THREE WEEKS' JOURNALISM WORK EXPERIENCE

Gain Unique Journalism Experience

Passing modules is all well and good, but the real learning experience comes from actually doing it. From the beginning of the course Journalist Works trainees are given a community reporter news patch for a busy regional daily. In addition we guarantee our students three weeks working for established titles. It's a fabulous opportunity to impress editors and add to your growing portfolio.

We guarantee three weeks' work experience for all our students who pass their exams.

Students choose placements from this list:

  • The Argus
  • Esquire magazine
  • Johnston Press subbing hub
  • Time Out
  • The Mail on Sunday
  • Eastbourne Herald
  • Press Gazette
  • Moneysupermarket.com
  • Sussex Life

Working for a regional daily newspaper, a monthly magazine, and a busy sub-editing hub, you'll gain a unique combination of in-demand skills. Not to mention great contacts for when you graduate.

Here at Esquire we've been welcoming JW's students for more than a year. They get invaluable on-the-job knowledge working at a top consumer title."

It is a pleasure to partner up with Journalist Works. The first intake has been first class and we are looking forward to more bright, aspiring journalists contributing to the Red Bulletin in print and on the web.
