Are you passionate about photography? Would you like to see your photos published and get paid for it?
This course will introduce you to the skills, knowledge and experience to take pictures that will sell to the media and a variety of other markets.
Newspapers and magazines rely heavily, if not exclusively, on freelance photographers. They are constantly on the lookout for new and interesting material. The opportunities are enormous and always growing.
Although newspapers, magazines and books are the freelance photographer's main markets, corporate publications, websites, photo libraries, greetings cards, and a host of others are also possible markets.
The "Freelance Photography Course" will introduce you to what you need to know to gain access to these markets.
The tutor, Andrew Hasson, is a professional freelance photographer with more than 25 years experience. His images are used in The Times, The Guardian and every other national newspaper, as well as magazines as diverse as Country Life and Take a Break.
He has worked with the BBC, Channel 4 and Five, producing publicity pictures for listings, magazines and DVD covers.

Where?
The course itself is taking place at Argus House, home of The Argus newspaper and journalist training centre Brighton Journalist Works.
We'll be using their journalist training centre, and venturing out to a local event for picture opportunities.
Experience is Needed
Students attending this course must have plenty of experience using a digital SLR camera. It is also essential that you have basic skills in using Adobe Photoshop.
