Tailor-Made for Journalism Training

Just three years ago, we designed our centre to train journalists to the highest standard.

Training here is unique, as it's in the offices of Brighton's daily newspaper - The Argus. Newsquest Media (Publishers of The Argus) take a keen interest in the development of talented journalists and so hosting training is a perfect solution.

You'll have access to your own computer, loaded with leading industry software.

A 42" plasma screen is used to demonstrate students' best work. It's also used to analyse Prime Minister's Question Time, as part of Central Government journalist training.

Space to Relax

We provide a comfy area for relaxing between lectures. It's an open-plan space with a well-equipped kitchen. Tea and coffee are provided. There's a large supermarket across from Argus House for food and drink.

Our budding journalists are always welcomed by The Argus staff. You can introduce yourself to reporters and editors and gain advice on your own story ideas.

Training in the same building as a working newspaper is the best way to a career in journalism. None of the other NCTJ courses would have given this chance.

David Brothwell, JW Graduate, Letters Editor - The Argus

Journalism Training runs Monday to Thursday

Our students fully revitalise after their intensive week, with a three day weekend, in captivating Brighton. Students can also earn while they learn, getting part-time jobs in evening and the long weekends to fund their training.

Our training centre is a single, easy, bus ride - to the beach and city centre.

Wonderfully Refreshing Brighton
