Tailor-Made for Journalism Training
Just four years ago, we designed our centre to train journalists to the highest standard.
Training here is unique, as it's in the offices of Brighton's daily newspaper - The Argus. Newsquest Media (Publishers of The Argus) take a keen interest in the development of talented journalists and so hosting training is a perfect solution.
Our air-conditioned training rooms provide PCs with all the industry software, internet, networked printers and modern teaching facilities including a 42" plasma screen for demonstration materials.
Space to Relax
We provide a comfy area for relaxing between lectures. It's an open-plan space with a well-equipped kitchen. Tea and coffee are provided. There's a large supermarket across from Argus House for food and drink.
Our budding journalists are always welcomed by The Argus staff. You can introduce yourself to reporters and editors and gain advice on your own story ideas.
Training in the same building as a working newspaper is the best way to a career in journalism. None of the other NCTJ courses would have given this chance.

Journalism Training runs Monday to Friday
The training course is intensive. Luckily Brighton has a lot to offer to help revitalise you.
